Formerly, The Colony Room, Luigi's Bar and Restaurant and Die Blou Padde Coffee Shop is now owned and run by Paul and Jill Hopper who have completely renovated and upgraded the beautiful old buildings and gardens whilst maintaining the special ambience of the historic old buildings.
Art has become an important part of life here and a number of resident artists regularly display their work publicly in the local art and craft gallery and in their own studios. The Red Barn Gallery is the venue for larger exhibitions from time to time to which artists from elsewhere in the country are invited.
